NetApp FAS2020’s operating system software, Data ONTAP, helps you bolster storage efficiency through higher utilization of capacity, thin provisioning, and Snapshot™ technology.

With NetApps FlexVol® technology, you use a single command to dynamically expand or contract LUNs and volumes. You can also use FlexVol for thin provisioning, which helps avoid the costly overprovisioning and time consuming reconfiguration that are typical with other storage solutions.

With FlexClone®, you can instantaneously create cloned LUNs or volumes without any additional storage. FlexClone also dramatically improves the effectiveness and productivity of application and database
development and predeployment testing.
