Dot Hill’s latest generation R/Evolution technology presents a true and unique move towards Green Storage through completely eliminating the need for cache backup batteries, saving the environment and also reducing service costs for the end user. In addition our battery-free cache design provides a permanent backup of unwritten cache data in the event of a power failure unlike traditional battery based designs, which typically hold data for up to 72 hours assuming a fully charged battery.
Both Dot Hill’s latest generation 2000 and 5000 series storage array’s support battery-free cache backup which is part of our ongoing EcoStor Green Storage initiative. EcoStor will deliver a series of energy saving and environmentally responsible technologies such as drive spin-down and our unique Data-In-Place Migration which maximizes the life-cycle of your investment in storage technology.
Entry Level
The 2000 models are easy to set up storage SAN systems designed to provide maximum data protection through AssuredSnap™ and AssuredCopy™ data protection software. Each system comes with up to 256 snapshots.
Dot Hill 2332 – iSCSI SAN Array features a 12-drive array housed in a 2 rack-unit (2U) enclosure providing four 1Gb iSCSI interfaces to internal 3.5 Inch SATA II disk drives.
Dot Hill 2322 – supports 24-drives housed in a 2 rackunit (2U) enclosure providing dual 1Gb iSCSI interfaces per controller to 2.5-inch SAS or solid state drives (SSDs).
Dot Hill 2330 storage array provides four 1Gb ISCSI interfaces to allow customers to build an Ethernet based 3.5 Inch SAN.
Dot Hill 2530 storage array provides four 3Gb SAS interfaces and supports a wide variety of SAS or SATA-II drives.
Dot Hill 2722 provides four 4Gb fibre channel a wide variety of SAS, SATA-II, and SSD storage 3.5Inch and 2.5 Inch drives.
Dot Hill 2730T storage array provides four turbo-charged 4Gb fibre channel interfaces and supports a wide variety of 3.5 Inch SAS and SATA-II drives.
