Symantec License Renewal Promotion

101 Data Solutions in conjunction with EMC Networker are *offering a compelling swap to Networker for both Symantec Back up Exec, Net Back up users and existing EMC Networker users with redundant ‘live’ licenses.
If you are paying too much for your Symantec renewal quotes, this is the programme for you.
1. Who will it benefit?
- You have an investment in your current backup infrastructure
- There is an annual maintenance bill to pay that you must budget for
- You may be thinking about updating your backup infrastructure
- How about if you could refresh your infrastructure, and cut your maintenance costs over 3 years in half? Typically, this means that your investment is returned in 18 months.

Symantec renewal - 10K
Customer pays 15K to EMC, and can download (10 x 5) 50K worth of licences over 3 years. This will also include support for 3 years at no extra cost. If you wish to purchase more licences, there is an accelerator as well giving added benefits, please ask for more details.
So, there will be an initial spend of 15K this year and no further expense for another 2 years, while in comparison you will have to pay 30K to Symantec over that same time. This is compelling for people that have grown out of their BackupExec environment and want to move to a more Enterprise product.
If you opt to impliment something like the EMC Networker Fast Start Bundle, you will be able to back up most of your environment with 10K and have an additional £40,000 worth of licensing remaining to spend.
Networker Trade in:
We are also offering Networker licence buy back. If your organisation has moved to a more virtual environment for example, and are no longer using a number of Legato licences, you will be able to trade those in and get a 50% credit on the purchase of new licences. Please note: There is a cut off of a minimum spend of £15,000 to qualify for this promotion.
2. What to do now?
You
- Provide us evidence of your current annual maintenance costs
- Provide an order to the minimum value of 18 months maintenance
- Sign the Volume Software License Agreement (VSLA)
We
- Provide a package that includes 3 years maintenance, training, and consultancy
- Enable you to order any Networker or Avamar software up to a predetermined value
- Allow you to call off the software you need whenever you need it
Your ‘credit limit’ calculation
- Based on list prices of Networker software
- 5 x current annual maintenance cost PLUS
- 2 x the incremental value of your order over and above the minimum
